Terms of Service.
The rules for using SheetSandbox, written in plain language. By creating an account or calling our API, you agree to the terms below.
The Short Version
SheetSandbox gives you an API that reads and writes to a Google Sheet you own and control. We don't host your data — Google does. Our Pro plan is a single $6.99 one-time payment for lifetime access, not a subscription.
What you get
A bearer-token-authenticated REST API, 5,000 requests/day per project, and access to the Node.js and Python SDKs — for as long as SheetSandbox operates.
What's not allowed
Using the API to abuse Google's infrastructure, circumvent rate limits, or store unlawful content in your connected sheet.
Eligibility & Access
You must sign in with a Google account to use SheetSandbox and grant it permission to access the specific spreadsheets you connect. You're responsible for keeping your account and API tokens secure, and for all activity that happens under them. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement to use the service.
Fair Use of the API
Each project is limited to 5,000 API requests per day, resetting at 00:00 UTC. You may not attempt to circumvent these limits, use the service to build a competing sheets-to-API product, resell access to your token, or use SheetSandbox to store or transmit unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. We reserve the right to suspend projects that abuse the service or Google's underlying APIs.
One-Time Pro Purchase
The Pro plan is a single $6.99 payment processed by Polar.sh, granting lifetime access to Pro features and future updates for your account. Because access is granted immediately upon payment, purchases are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or at our discretion. We do not store your card details — Polar.sh handles all payment processing.
Service "As Is"
SheetSandbox is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We depend on Google Sheets' infrastructure and cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SheetSandbox is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including data loss in your connected spreadsheet — since your data lives in Google Sheets, not with us, we strongly recommend keeping your own backups.
Ending the Agreement
You may stop using SheetSandbox and revoke its Google account access at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including abusive API usage or unlawful use of the service. Terminating your account does not affect data already stored in your own Google Sheets.
Updates to These Terms
We may update these terms as SheetSandbox evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date below. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
